| Here is some general care tips for plecos. Plecos like soft water and a ph of 6.5 to 7.0, they can tolerate a higher ph but i don't recommend it. They prefer a temperature of 24c to 28c (72-78 Farenheit).Plecos are omnivores or herbivores and a few are carnivores and wood eaters so when feeding plecos generally feed them algae wafers, shrimp pellets and vegetables like zucchini and sweet potato. No high protein food unless there carnivores, a little bit of blood worms and brine shrimp is ok and if your pleco is a wood eater all you need is drift wood in your tank. Make sure when setting up a tank for plecos or have plecos in your tank make sure there is driftwood and plenty of hiding places for them and a few caves.
